Description

Mid to later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan symmetrical, plain classical house forming part of small terrace. Harled. Painted margins to openings.

SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: deep-set, part-glazed modern timber door at ground in bay to centre; rectangular fanlight; window at 1st floor above. Window at each floor in each bay flanking.

SE ELEVATION: adjoining Number 12 Laing Street (not listed).

2-pane timber sash and case windows; evenly disposed rooflights to SW pitch. Grey slate roof; stone ridge; harled, corniced mutual stacks; stone skews; uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1998.

Statement of Interest

A well-proportioned, symmetrical front, relatively unchanged plan and retention of substantial stacks are features of interest.
