Statement of Interest

A group with Venison Larder, Ice House, Stables, Pony Stables, Game Larders and Iron Ballroom, Joiners' Workshop.

Plans and elevations of the Telegraph Room by Beaton are held in the Royal Archives Print Room. The Surgery contains equipment for medical examinations and scales. Important component of the stables group. Indicates the early use of the telephone at Balmoral though as this was not patented by Bell until 1876, the purpose-built Telegraph room must have fulfilled its original function for at least 15 years.
