History

Mid C19 (not shown on 1833 map); modern renovation. This group of 3 houses formed the NE end (Nos 12,13 & 14) of Bank Place terrace before the new road was laid.

Exterior

Rubble 2-storey, 2-window fronts with quoins (modern to uphill end) and slate roofs with red brick chimney stacks. Off-centre doorways; the broader frontage to middle includes the former through passage doorway, stepped down. Camber-headed openings with red brick voussoirs; 9 and 12-pane sash windows; modern stable-type doors. Asymmetrical downhill gable end with 3-camber headed casement windows; altered rear.

Reasons for Listing

Listed for its special intrest in Holywell as a surviving example of mid C19 terrace architecture.

Group value with Nos 7 & 8 Bank Place.
