History

Probably built in 1790's at the time when the Ladies of Llangollen were developing their gardens on an impressive scale.

Exterior

Built in the form of a square panelled timberwork to the main sides. Strong Chinoiserie influence to the shingled roof which sweeps out broadly and is stepped - the top stage containing the Gothic dove boxes and the lower stage forming an all round gallery with more ornate timberwork and pierced balusters. There is no applied timberwork to the NE side facing away from the formal grounds. The rubble base is battered
to all sides.
