History

C18 and C19.

Exterior

Two storeys, rubble stone, slate roof. Long-range sited downslope with service rooms at the upper end. Various building phases are evident in the stonework. The lower end range has neater coursed rubble blocks and a cambered voussoir lintel over the ground-floor window. Projecting rubble stack to lower gable end, ridge stack to right of centre. Enclosed rubble porch, modern glazed door. Twelve-pane sash windows to the principal rooms, casements at the service end. Interior has scroll stopped beams and massive timber lintel to central open fireplace (now blocked).

Reasons for Listing

Included as a good unaltered example of a later vernacular farmhouse.
