History

One of a series of milestones set up after the establishment of the turnpike road in the 1820s.

Exterior

Early to mid-C19 milestone relating to the turnpike road first established in the 1820s. Slate-stone with simple chamfered top edge set in boundary wall. Inscribed "MLS." to top right corner with below "PENYGROES 6/ RHYD-DDU 1".
