History

Type K6 telephone kiosk to the standard design of Giles Gilbert Scott, architect of London. Design introduced by General Post Office in 1936. This example dated from the reign of George VI.

Exterior

Cast-iron kiosk. Domed roof with four lunettes enclosing embossed crowns over red-lettered opals. Raised surrounds to sides and door with marginal bars to horizontal glazing. Blank rear, moulded plinth.
