CHURCH OF ST PETER

GV II*

Late C15 and early C16. Restored 1897, and later. Rectangular with
North and South aisles. Clerestory. West tower with projecting West porch.
Crypt. The North aisle, abutting on High street, has good pierced and
castellated parapet.

The Town Hall, Church of ST Peter, The Mitre Inn and Nos 25 to 31 (odd)
form a group.
