Circa 1290. Small rough-stone building with 3 vaulted chambers having an
entrance of stone blocks with carved lintel. Built by the Friars Minor of
Southampton it covers the spring which originally supplied water to the friary
in the lower part of the town.
Scheduled as an ancient monument (See also Conduit House, Commercial Road
(q.v.)).
