1868 by Sir Gilbert Scott in Early English style. Built of red brick with
stone quoins. Five bay nave and aisles, the south aisle added in 1889, with
three-gabled west end. Apsidal chancel and chapels. The windows are lancets,
treated with mouldings and shafts, with some intermediate blank arcading.
Open gabled bellcote over east end of nave.
The south chapel contains several encaustic tiles from the C12 Augustinian
Prior of St Denys which occupied a site close to the present church. (See
also Priory Road and Bugle Street, Tudor House).
