GV II

House, now public house. Early C17 with mid-C19 and C20 alterations. Timber-
frame with painted brick and rendered infill on stone plinth, tile roof. L-
plan, limbs extending north and east; east/west range of three framed bays,
gable-end stack to east with 2-diamond plan brick shafts and a larger stack
at east of west bay with 2-diamond plan shafts flanking a square shaft.
North front: one storey with attic lit by two gabled dormers and gable window
in wing projecting to right; three plus three windows: 3-light casement to
left, paired single-light casements to right, other three in a triplet in
wing; roughly central entrance in main range with ledged two-leaf door, lean-
to against left of cross-wing has another two-leaf door; lean-to at extreme
right with door in left wall. Framing: originally three square panels high
with straight angle braces; cross-wing gable: two struts to collar with V-
struts in apex.
