Parish church. Mainly C14, restored 1861 by Henry Day. Ashlar with tile
roof. Chancel and nave with bellcote. Chancel: two bays with two trefoiled-
light window under 2-centred head to left and a trefoiled lancet, priest's
door has a 2-centred head and label; east window C19 of three trefoiled
lights; three bays: window to right has three cinquefoiled lights,
to left two cinquefoiled lights both under square heads with labels; south
door has a C14 timber-framed porch with moulded cornice and curved wind-
braces, arch-braces to cambered tie-beam form a 2-centred arch; entrance
has a 2-centred arch. Bellcote on west end, C16 with two trefoil-headed
openings capped by a crocketed pinnacle. Interior: chancel arch: 2-centred
two chamfered orders, with engaged respond shafts; trefoil-headed piscinca
in south wall of chancel; roofs; nave: three bays, tie-beam trusses with
arch-braced collars; chancel: two bays, arch-braced collar with V-struts in
apex. Incised early C16 alabaster floor tablet in chancel to William Leycester;
four wall tablets at west end of nave 1651-1758. (VCH 3, p 56-57; BoE, p 123).
