Large churchyard memorial to Sir John Austen MP, d.1742, and his sister
Arabella Austen, d.1714. Ashlar. 3 square stages. Moulded cornice and
base to bottom stage. Inscription on W side. Smaller 2nd stage with
cornice and 4 recessed panels; skulls and crossed bones to E, empty
cartouche to W, empty to N and S. Considerably smaller 3rd stage has 4
scrolled angle buttresses with a cornice extruded at angles over
buttresses. Surmounted by a bulbous ball finial.
