Small church. C12/C13, rebuilt 1838, and C15. Rubble stone, with coursed
squared stone and ashlar tower, and Welsh and Swithland slate-roofs. W tower,
nave and chancel under one roof, and S porch. Tower, mainly of C15, of 2
stages with plinth, buttresses with set-offs (diagonal on W corners), 4 small
2-light bell openings and battlements. Norman nave arch. On nave N wall,
blocked door, window of 1838 and 2 heads of C13 windows built into wall.
Simple Geometric tracery. E window also of 1838. On S wall a similar window
and head of window with Y tracery built in. Transitional S doorway. S porch
also probably of 1838. C19 tie beam roof to nave. Pevsner.
