1930. Dr R Tait McKenzie, sculptor. Bronze figure holding telescope on high,
square stone plinth up 4 shallow and one tall step. Inscription "This monument,
the gift of the Canadian people, was unveiled on the 5th of June 1930 by Le Marquis
de Montcalm." Plinth much pitted by bomb fragments.
