Very tall obelisk of dressed stones on square plinth. Dated 1702 with inscription:
"To the memory of the birth of George Grey, Earl of Harold, son of Henry and Sophia,
Duke and Duchess of Kent." Brought from Wrest Park in Bedfordshire.
The following should be added to the above description "The date of 1702, possibly
added when the obelisk was moved to Trent Park, is incorrect. The Earl of Harold was
born in 1733 and died in infancy.
