Terraced town house. Mid C18, altered and extended early and mid C19. Stuccoed brick slate roof. Four storeys and basement, attic storey heightened.
Three windows wide. Rusticated ground floor with mid C19 Doric porch to left with balustrade. First floor windows have architraves and pulvinated friezes with cornices, pediment on consoles over centre one. No glazing bars to sashes. Early C19 bowed cast iron balconettes to second floor. Original stone cyma cornice at third floor level. Mid C19 alterations to west return; first floor Palladian stairlight original but with later modifications and inscribed under arch; north elevation of wing early C19, bowed through two storeys with Greek fret and geometric pattern cast iron balconies.
Interior retains mouldings, plasterwork and doorcases of mid to late C18 and early C19 and original open string stone staircase with scroll pattern wrought iron balustrade etc.
GLC plaque to residence of architect George Edmund Street.
