Pair of cottages. Late C17 with later additions and alterations. Regularly
coursed marlstone rubble; straw thatch roofs. 2 cottages at right-angles to each
other. 2 storeys to No.1, one storey and attic to No.2. No.1 has two C19
casements on each floor, those to first floor directly below eaves. Entrance to
right gable end, which has integral stack with C20 brown brick shaft. No.2 has
3-light late C20 casement to ground floor with raking eaves dormer to far right.
Integral end stack to left with shaft like that of No.1. Entrance through C20
lean-to to right, which like that attached to gable end of No.1 is not of
special architectural interest. Form part of a good corner group with Honour
Oak, Thrush Cottage and Westward Cottage (q.v.).
