The base of a smock mill, extended and converted to a house in the early C19.
2 storeys. Whitewashed brick; in Gothick style. The mill base is octagonal,
with a conical thatched roof and overhanging eaves. A central octagonal
chimney-stack. Linked to it is an oblong wing with slate roof. Various
windows; the oldest, at the rear, are 2-light cast-iron-casements with square
leaded panes and pointed heads to lights. The wing has 2-light casements with
pointed arches and traceried heads, and the mill-base similar windows in deep-
chamfered reveals, a blocked window to each storey, and one long small-paned
sash window with intersecting tracery. Entrance door, with 6 raised fielded
panels, within an open thatched timber porch in rustic style.
