Includes No 1 Hendford Drive. Circa 1900 house built by Barry Parker, an interesting
and early Parker "Arts and Crafts" design, on corner site, and using local materials.
Two-storeys sandstone "brick", partially timber framed first floor. Multiple range
of leaded casement windows under deep flat eaves. Steep pitched slate roof with
battered chimneys. Stone mullioned ground floor windows, one with doorway in
common ashlar surround. The corner is canted with a heavily corbelled but
delicately modelled oriel window. The east front has a carefully balanced projection
and recession with a long rectangular bay window set over recessed entrance with
inset low canted bay window next to the door.
