Dated 1710, a modest sized, 2-storey coursed gritstone house with a symmetrical 3 bay
front. Projecting coped gable porch of traditional build. Stone slate roof with
central ridge stack with moulded cornice; coped gable ends with shaped thin kneelers.
Two light chamfered mullion splayed reveal windows, originally of 4 lights. Unaltered
5 light ground floor window to right hand. C19 small paned sashes. Weathered string
courses between storeys is stepped up over doorway and encloses a panel inscribed
S over W H with the date below, framed with cable moulding. Inside the porch the
doorway proper has an arched opening with imposts and keystone. Above in the centre
of the first floor is a small circular window in a plain raised surround.
