Dated 1801 and probably a rebuild of a C17 house. Symmetrical 3 bay front with
2 bay cottage extension to road of slightly later build. Sandstone "brick",
chamfered ashlar quoins to main front and first floor sill band. Stone slate
roof with modillion brackets to moulded eaves cornice. Corniced chimneys.
Originally with 2 or 3 light mullioned windows, was replaced by casements, in
squared surrounds. Small central first floor window to main front with date
plaque below. Squared jamb corniced doorway. The roadside cottage has bevelled
one bay return. Some mullions intact to rear. Included for group value.
