Statue of Sir Titus Salt. 1903 by F. Derwent Wood (Chelsea) for
Mr. J. Roberts the director of Saltaire works from 1893. Ashlar
base, bronze plaques and statue. North facing.

THIS STATUE WAS ERECTED
THE 20th SEP 1903

Sides have bas-reliefs illustrating the angora goat and the alpaca
goat. Base of statue decorated with wreath. A good statue of Salt
wearing a Victorian frock-coat and holding a parchment. Prominent
in the landscape with Saltaire, his creation, behind.
