Warehouse, now house. Late C18 altered and converted late C20.
Herringbone tooled sandstone; roof of C20 concrete tiles with
stone gable coping. Rough stone plinth.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 5-window range. Central doorway with C20
door, flanked by 2 square-glazing bar casements, above 5
similar casements. Pronounced chamfered band at first floor.
Left side has doorway to lift with C20 door under wooden
lintel; to right 2 square glazing bar casements to each floor.
Rear has 5 square-glazing bar casements, above a central loft
doorway, now partly blocked, with a square glazing bar
casement flanked by 2 similar casements.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORY: this warehouse is a rare survival from the days when
Marske was a port; it was used for storing goods awaiting
export or import by sea.
