Farmhouse. Early C18 possibly incorporating part of a C17 building.
Timber-framed and plastered; brick plinth. Plain tiled roof with pantiled
outshut. Two storeys and cellar. L-plan with projection in angle for
staircase. Symmetrical facade, coved plaster eaves cornice. Central doorway
C19 half-glazed panelled door, reeded doorcase with corner bosses. Two C20
casement windows, and three similar first floor windows. Rear stack and
gable end stack to right hand. The back range extends to the angle of the
yard with two small barns weatherboarded, and flint. Interior: Exposed
chamfered ceiling beam and square sectioned joists; boxed ceiling beams and
introduced C17 bricks in rebuilt hearth.
