Lodge. Mid C19. Tudoresque style. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone
dressings. Tiled roof with bands of plain and fishscale tiles. Stone gable stacks.
Gables with fretted barge boards and pendants. Plinth, and moulded sill band. Single
storey with attic. Irregular plan and elevation. North elevation of two bays has a
tall gabled porch in the centre, its gable breaking above the main eaves line.
Trefoiled arched entrance and inner doorway. Plank door. To the left is a canted bay
window with hipped roof. To the right is a window in chamfered stone surround, with
returned hoodmould. Two gabled dormers above, with moulded hoodmoulds, barge boards
and pendants. The gable end has two windows with returned hoodmoulds, and a
corbelled out external stack. All windows were boarded up at the time of re-survey.
