Industrial/part domestic building of uncertain purpose, but
evidently a part of Captain MacLeod's fisheries development programme of the 1780s at Rodel. Harled rubble, gabled and roofless 3-bay front and rear elevations; on 2 levels (excluding attic), and built on slope; single storey to roadside with centre doorway, roofless outshot partly obscures left bay which also contains a doorway (? altered); blind (? blocked) window in right hand bay. West elevation is 2-storeyed, with 3 large windows at upper floor, 2 small windows at ground/basement
and wide centre opening indicating industrial use - possibly
storage. On each gable, a fireplace at each level and axial stacks
built of squared rubble; also off-centre wall-head stack at west
(its upper stage in brick) above fireplace on principal (ie upper)
floor level. Low wing on south gable is also roofless.
Category C(S) only because of condition.
