David Bryce, 1866-8. Sculptor John Rhind. Cream sandstone gothic monument of Eleanor Cross type mounted on stepped hexagonal pedestal. Hexagonal monument of 3 receding blind arcaded stages surmounted by crocketed pinnacle. Each bay with colonnetted pointed arch niche, and crocketed and finialed gable; dividing buttresses; gableheads at 1st stage with trefoils, at 2nd stage with monogram CS. Later inscription at base.
Catherine Sinclair, 1800-1864, was a philanthropist, and author of Holiday House. The inscription was added in 1901.
