Dated 1882. Heavy square drinking fountain on bullfaced
granite plinth with semi-circular polished granite trough
to each face, supporting 4 polished granite colonnettes
enclosing key-stone arches; corniced frieze bearing
pinnacles, escutcheons and moulded overthrow.
Stands on paved area protected by bollards. Erected in memory
of James Robertson Bank Agent, Huntly, born 20 Jan, 1780
died 4 Feb, 1877, by his widow. Besides memorial inscription
frieze carries various biblical texts refering to water.
