Listed Buildings in Sealand, Flintshire

  1. II Bascule Bridge (also listed in Queensferry rec no 84434) Photos
    The bridge carries the B5441 across the River Dee, linking Garden City with Queensferry.
  2. II Church of St Bartholomew Photos
    Located off the N side of Sealand Road (A548) which leads E to Chester. The church was originally on the main road but has been recently by-passed.
  3. II Churchyard Boundary Wall, Church of St Bartholomew
    Bounding a triangular churchyard, fronting St Bartholomew's Court to the S and Green Lane East to the NE.
  4. II Ferry bank Farm
    Located on Fox's Drive which leads E from Welsh Road (B5441). The gable end of the farmhouse fronts the road.
  5. II Former Office Buildings, Shotton Steelworks
    On the north side of the River Dee just to the NE of the former Corus Steelworks office building, via a road leading from the Bascule Bridge.

    Located on the south side of the A548 approximately 4km west of Chester
  7. II Hawarden Bridge (also listed in Shotton rec no 84399) Photos
    Railway Bridge spanning the River Dee between Shotton and Sealand. A station for the Corus Steelworks is located at the N end of the bridge.
  8. II North Pair of Aircraft Hangars Photos
    Located towards the SE corner of Deeside Industrial Park and reached off the B5441. The northernmost of 2 pairs of hangars.
  9. II Office Building, Corus Steelworks
    Located on the N bank of the River Dee adjacent to Hawarden Bridge. Reached by a works road, which runs W off Welsh Road and follows the river.

    Fronting the E side of the main A550 road.
  11. II South Pair of Aircraft Hangars Photos
    Located towards the SE corner of Deeside Industrial Park and reached off the B5441. The southernmost of 2 pairs of hangars.
  12. II West Pair of Aircraft Hangars Photos
    Located towards the SE corner of Deeside Industrial Park and reached off the B5441. About 150m N of the railway line, and adjacent to a later Type 'C' hangar.
