3/57 Urquahart tomb, 2 yards
south west of Garden of Rest

GV II

Tomb. Dedicated to Alexander Urquahart. Died 1820. Stone on 3-step stone plinth
7 feet high. Greek cross plan tapering to top with raised panelled sides. Bulls
eye raised band around panel edges. Re-entrant angles filled with shingled tapering
piers with anthemion type decoration to end band. Shingled pyramidal lid with
handled urn to top.
