(Formerly listed as Craig Cottage)

II

House, c.1550 with major alterations of early C19. Two storeys. Probably the remaining hall and parlour cells of a formerly three-cell house. Timber-framed and plastered. Machine-made plaintiled roof with axial chimney of red brick; the lower part of C16, the upper part rebuilt C19. At either end is a short C19 extension with hipped low pitched slated roof. Early C19 small-pane sashes. Early C19 six-panelled door at lobby-entrance position; later C19 open pantiled porch with ogee cusped bargeboards and spike finial. The house has some heavy mid C16 framing with heavy and closely spaced studding. A massive ogee-moulded bridging beam is from another building. C16 clasped-purlin roof.

A large cambered lintel over the hall fireplace has been cut and the fireplace reduced.
