House, now 2 dwellings. Mid to late C17, extended and altered C19 and C20.
Timber frame, plastered. Thatched roof. Probably a 3 cell cross passage plan
extended by 1 bay to left or parlour end. 2 storeys. Lobby and cross passage
entrances to centre and to right of centre in C20 gabled porches with
ornamental bargeboards, 1 and 2-light glazing bar casements in moulded frames,
ground floor hoodboards. Central axial ridge stack, added external stacks on
both gable ends in lean-to outshuts, exposed plates and purlins. To rear an
oven projecting behind stack, C20 additions. Interior: chamfered cross axial
binding beams, some exposed studding, tension bracing, frame largely
concealed.
