Former farmhouse. Circa 1600 with C18 extension. 3-cell cross-passage
entrance plan. 2 storeys. Timber-framed and plastered. Thatched roof with
axial and external gable chimneys of red brick. Mainly c.1980 casements;
several original diamond mullioned windows are exposed and glazed. C19
boarded entrance door in a lean-to thatched C19 extension. Typical fully
exposed unmoulded framing; wind-braced butt-purlin roof. Large back-to-back
open fireplaces to hall and parlour. A triangular-block ladder stair led
from the cross-entry until c.1980. At the left hand end is a further original
service room. In C18 a further cell was added to right; timber-framed and
plastered with a gable end of red brick.
