West Portal to Bruce Tunnel on Kennet and Avon Canal. 1810. Red brick with stone copings. Concave on plan. Pointed parabolic arch of 45cm brick. Stone plaque similar to East Portal (q.v.) but without inscription. Blue brick wall on north side of cutting, and blockwork wall to south erected by railway company, not of special interest.
