GV II

A C16-C17 timber-framed and plastered building with cross wings at the north and south ends. Two storeys. The ground storey of the centre block and south cross wing are faced in brick (painted). A single storeyed lean-to addition extends on the south end. The north cross wing has a jettied upper storey with exposed timber-framing and one curved bracket with moulded capital and shaft. Five window range partly of double-hung sashes and partly casements. At the north end there are 2 C19 shop bays
with glazing bars and a central entrance. Roof tiled, with a coved plaster eaves cornice to the centre block which is extended across the south cross wing gable and the south end. Central chimney stacks. A wing extends to the east at the south end.
