C17 timber framed house faced in red brick in C18/19. Tiled roof with gabled ends.
U-shaped on plan. One storey and attic. Central range has central brick stack.
South-east range has large external sandstone stack on gable end with initials 'RS'
and date '1660'. Gabled dormers and mainly C19 casement windows.
Interior: central range contains stepped chamfer ceiling beam and C18 dog-leg
staircase with moulded string, balusters and square newels. South-west wing has
large exposed ceiling beam of square section and a brick segmental vaulted cellar.
