Late C18. 3 storeys in red brick with pantile roof with coped amble ends with
kneelers. 3 brick stacks. Diagonal-set brick eaves cornice. 5 windows, 1 blocked,
2 modern casements, to left 1 hung sash with glazing bars, 1 to right with glazing
bars, blocked, flush cases. Ground floor has 5 windows, 1 blocked, rusticated
lintels with keystones, no glazing bars, 1 modern shop front and 2 late C19
shop fronts with pilasters with carved capitals.

The George Hotel, its former stable block, and Nos 7 to 17 (odd) form a group
of which the former stable block is local interest only.
