Cinema c.1925. Built for Cyril Getcliffe. Red brick with Portland stone dressings. Slate roofs. South front has main entrance to left, with a large ashlar opening with moulded surround including five steps which rise to pairs of double doors with Art Deco style glazing patterns. Above a large round headed brick arch, with two brick mullions decorated with recessed reliefs of theatrical masks. Three lower windows with Art Deco style glazing, and above three narrows lancets with similar glazing. The whole situated within a square brick stepped panels, with patterned brickwork. To the right a three storey staircase section with two doorways and a small fixed light. Above four staggered staircase windows. Above a pair of small windows and a triple window, all with Art Deco style glazing. Beyond to the right a two storey section with overhanging Mansard roof. Two doorways and a small window, with above three, three light casements. Beyond again to the right a fly tower, with a large scenery doorway on the ground floor and a tall projecting signboard above.

Interior contains much of its original fixtures and fittings, and most of its original decorative detailing. The foyer has panelling, doors, plaster ceiling and staircase as original. Small lower cinema contains some original detailing, though main auditorium has, gallery, boxes and proscenium arch all virtually, as original. This fine plaster ceiling is supported on elaborated painted mermaids. This cinema was designed to accommodate both moving picture shows and music hall acts, which explains the elaborate theatrical accommodation back stage.
