Early C19. 2 storeys in brick with brick eaves cornice and hipped pantile roof.
3 windows, brick voussoirs and stucco keystones, hung sashes with glazing bars.
Ground floor has 1 round-arched window with keystone, blocked at time of survey,
and canted bay to the right. Centre round-headed doorway in stone with keystone,
impost blocks, fielded door and radiating semi-circular fanlight. 3 steps. 1-storey wing to both sides with 1 window, that to left blocked, round-headed arch with keystone, that to right later.

Nos 40 and 42 form a group.
