350 metres north-
west of Hobberlaw
II

Pair of limekilns, probably early C19. Roughly-squared stone with cut
dressings; western kiln has brick drawing arches and header brick lining
to pot.

Each kiln of irregular polygonal plan. Earlier eastern kiln has semicircular
drawing arches, with large raking buttresses to intermediate faces; unbuttressed
western kiln has segmental squinch arches above eyes. Circular pots, much
overgrown at time of survey.
