House. Dated 1691. Red brick and plain tiled roof. Two storeys on
plinth with plat band and moulded wooden eaves cornice. Stack cluster to
centre right, and shaped gables, stepped at two levels, with plat bands
and pilaster strips and flanked by large volutes, capped with a pediment
(i.e a true Dutch 'halsgevel". Dated by wall ties: 16 on left gable; 91
on right gable. Three glazing bar sashes and small sash to centre right
on first floor, and 2 glazing bar sashes on ground floor with cambered
heads. Central rib and stud door with semi-circular fanlight in round-
headed doorway in projecting porch with shaped and pedimented Dutch gable
(see BOE Kent J. 1983 130; see also A Percival).'Blackmansbury 1966'.
