Pair of houses. Early C19. Red brick with rendered plinth; hipped
pantile roof; central brick ridge chimney and one gable-end stack to
left. 3 storeys, 4 first-floor windows. Doors to right of each unit
alternate with glazing bar sash windows under cambered brick arches.
Panelled doors (part glazed) have overlights with lattice glazing bars
in panelled reveals flanked by fluted pilasters, No. 39 with Triglyph frieze.
Facade of No. 41 is partly obscured by a C20 extension to No. 43 St. Stephens Square.
