House. c1825. Pinkish brick in Flemish bond; Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays
with 4th, recessed, bay to right. 3 left-hand bays symmetrical, having central
round-arched entrance with recessed part-glazed later C19 double door under fanlight
with radial glazing bars; flanking full-height 20-pane sashes, 16-pane sashes above,
all having projecting sills and flat brick arches, gauged on first floor; ground
floor covered by verandah with openwork wood columns with glass and corrugated iron
roof, the left-hand end now glazed to form conservatory; raised verges with coping;
red ridge tiles; brick end stack. Right-hand bay: Blocked basement opening; steps
up to ground floor entrance, formerly a window, now having part-glazed door with
side-lights under flat brick arch; segmental-arched window above has sash with
glazing bars. Rear: Round-arched stair window has sash with glazing bars.
Interior: Central stair hall has curving open-string stair with stick balusters
and moulded handrail with spiral curtail. Very similar to No 35 (qv).
