House, latterly house and shop. C17, extended and refaced in the early C19. Roughcast timber frame and limestone rubble with plain tile roof. Two framed bays with later additions. Plinth, mid to late C19 integral brick end stack off-ridge to left, and large brick ridge stack off-centre to right. Semi-basement and two storeys. Two mid to late C19 wooden cross windows on each floor to right, early C19 former shop front to left consisting of small-paned shop window repeated on return to left, and mid C19 four-panelled door to right with early C19 architrave and open triangular pedimented bracketed hood; boarded basement door to right. Left-hand return front with first floor glazing bar sash. Right-hand return front with first floor four-pane sash and ground floor boarded door with bracketed hood. Probably early C19 two-storey addition set back to left in former passageway, stack to rear, and ground floor C20 casement in early C19 frame.

INTERIOR: early C18 L-shape staircase with closed string, splat balusters shaped to represent twisted balusters, moulded handrail, and square newel posts; early C18 cupboard beneath stairs with low raised panelled doorway and open screen above with shaped splat balusters; early C18 classical wall cupboard on staircase consisting of two fluted pilasters with moulded capitals, triglyphs, guttae and cornice to each, flanking door with shaped-head raised and fielded panel.
