Detached house. C18. Local stone rubble; Welsh slate roof between coped gables; brick end chimney stacks. 3 storeys, 2
bays. 3 light small-pane casement windows under exposed timber lintels to ground and first floor; C20 plain casements
to second floor; 6-panel door under timber hood on brackets between bays. Tall single storey extension to North, with
triple roll clay tiles. Front boundary wall 1 metre from house: stone rubble about 600 mm high with wrot iron railings
of spearhead and arch design, probably late C19, with matching gate and returns to house both ends. Was inn for short
while in mid C19, during construction of adjacent railway, known as "The Flowers"; the proprieter, Mr Ederkin, was also
a sub-contractor to the railway company. (Couzens P, Bruton in Selwood, Abbey Press, Sherborne, 1972).
