Cottage. C17 with C19 remodelling. Local lias stone cut and squared; double Roman clay tile roof with plain north
gable, abutment to south; brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 2-bays. 2-light stall-pane casement windows with dragged
stone cills, and deep stone lintols to ground floor; central plain boarded door; lean-to against north gable with C20
part glazed door, larger C20 extension to rear. Interior not seen, but reported are chamfered beams with step and
runout steps, one open hearth with oven, one fireplace with square-cut bead moulded surrounds, traces of stone newel
staircase, and collar trusses. west elevation good example of C19 style using locally quarried stone, inside has C17
work: divided from adjoining house (not of special interest) in later C19. 4 metres west of house a Keinton stone flag
or plank boundary wall, of 7m and 4m lengths with gate between, typical of many such walls formerly in village.
