8/40 Workshop, 2 metres North of The
Cottage

Workshop (being converted into house March 1983). Early C19. Brick
English garden wall bond with stone quoins, with local stone side walls;
hipped plain clay tile roof with courses of fish scale tiles near ridge;
no stacks. 2-storeys, 3 bays. Central late C20 door; casement windows to
ground floor, 20-pane sash windows to first floor, with segmental gauged
brick arches to all openings. Modern extension to North. Probably had
connections with adjoining timber joinery yard. Good group value with
neighbouring Latchmore (qv).
