GV II
House, now divided into two. C17 and early C19. Coursed squared ironstone; front
of principal range (Latchetts) stuccoed. Slate roofs. Stone end and ridge
stacks. T-plan. 2 storeys and attic; 5-window range. Central part-glazed door
with overlight in moulded stone frame within porch of coupled Greek Doric
columns. String courses to first floor and above first floor windows. 12-pane
sash windows with stone sills and slatted shutters. Stone coped gables. Range to
rear (Hellidon House) C17 with many C19 and C20 alterations and C19 extension.
Interior: Latchetts has spacious open well staircase with stick balusters. Large
C17 stone fireplace with four-centred arch in Hellidon House.
