House, now divided into 2 dwellings. C17. Coursed and squared rubble, some render, alternating dressed quoin band to
left, double-Roman tile roof, coped verge, ashlar stacks with moulded caps and a single brick stack. Two storeys, 4
bays, 2 and 3-light moulded stone-mullioned windows, to ground floor with stopped labels, leaded lights. Door opening
to No. 2 to right, 6-panelled door, top 2 panels glazed. Door opening to Gainsborough to left in a lower height single
bay wing, probably added C18, 2-light stone-mullioned windows with leaded lights, door opening with a reproduction
ribbed door. Forecourt with rubble walling. Locally associated with the painter Gainsborough.
